Kyra Messinetti

Kyra Messinetti is a professional performer and teaching artist with over 30 years of dance and arts training and more than five years of teaching experience on Hawaiʻi Island, working with students in Kona and Waimea. She is proud to be part of the Prince Dance faculty and finds her greatest joy in sharing her lifelong passion for the arts with the keiki of the Big Island. Originally from New York, Kyra spent her middle and high school years in Florida, where she attended the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, majoring in Musical Theatre. She continued her formal training at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, studying musical theatre, vocal performance, and dance beginning in her freshman year of high school and continuing through advanced conservatory study. Kyra has worked professionally as a performer and model throughout her adult life and now brings that experience into the classroom in a nurturing, playful, and empowering way. Her training and teaching background includes ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theatre, with a strong emphasis on musicality, rhythm, storytelling, and expressive performance. Kyra’s goal as a teacher is for every student to learn something new in each class—to leave feeling encouraged, inspired, and proud of their progress. She believes each interaction should bring wisdom, spark curiosity, and create a genuine desire to keep learning and improving. By fostering a joyful, inclusive, and supportive environment, Kyra helps young artists feel seen, confident, and excited to grow both on and off the dance floor.
