Evan Vanterpool

Evan Vanterpool is a self-taught breakdancer hailing from the Big Island of Hawaii. His journey in the art of breaking began in 2010 when he took his first steps into the world of dance. Since then, Evan has become an active participant in numerous breaking events across Hawaii, including renowned gatherings like Ride the Breaks, Melting Pot, and Leave it on the Floor.

In 2018, Evan ventured into the realm of professional dance instruction, initially collaborating with the esteemed Big Island Dance Council. Over time, his passion for sharing the knowledge of breaking propelled him to become an independent dance instructor.

Driven by an unwavering passion, Evan is dedicated to empowering the next generation with the art of breaking. He firmly believes in the transformative power of dance, whether it’s the sense of accomplishment that comes with mastering a challenging move or the confidence gained from expressing one’s individuality.

Having honed his skills through years of dedicated practice, Evan possesses a proficient understanding of the principles and techniques behind calisthenics, which allows him to harness the body’s own resistance to build strength, agility, and control. His knowledge of stretching techniques ensures that students maintain optimal flexibility and mobility, enhancing their dance performance and preventing injuries.
