Angel Prince is the founder and Executive Director of Prince Dance Institute and Company. Ms. Prince is a director, educator, choreographer, writer, and
performer with a MA in Contemporary Dance Styles from The National University of Art in Buenos Aires and a BA in Dance from Hofstra University in
New York.
Based on the island of Hawaii for the last 20 years, Ms. Prince founded performing arts school Prince Dance Institute with a vision to provide comprehensive and inclusive arts education programs for students in rural Hawaii.
The non-profit Prince Dance Company was founded in 2008 to create original works of art for stage, screen, and site-specific locations, provide educational outreach performances and dance education for underserved students in Hawaii, and produce professional-level performances for youth.
Ms. Prince is a prolific creator and passionate collaborator and has produced over 30 evening-length original performances to highlight issues that are relevant to the community around issues as diverse as mental health and environmental concerns to more abstract ideas around human’s understanding of time and the end of life.
